Local Gerringong Attractions
Werri Beach is a classic surfing beach and point which is also perfect for swimming. It is distinguished by having point breaks at both ends of the beach, so there’s often a nice wave peeling off either the north or south headland.
Crooked River Wines is a family owned and operated winery that was first established in 1998. It is situated atop the rich volcanic alluvial soil of Gerringong, in a valley with amazing views of the mountains and the sea.
Land’s Edge Surf School lessons are conducted by professional and experienced instructors – all local residents with expert knowledge about local surfing conditions. The school has an impeccable safety record.
A hidden gem, the picturesque Boat Harbour Rock Pool is a great place for a swim or a snorkel. Located around the headland north of Gerringong’s Boat Harbour, access is via a walkway approximately 50 metres commencing at the Boat Harbour Reserve.
A whale watching platform located above the cliffs on the Gerringong Headland, this is the ideal place to see the whales migrating north from late May to July and south from September to November.
