Local Kiama Attractions
A sheltered pebbly beach located on the northern side of Bombo peninsula. Popular secluded spot for a picnic, snorkelling or stand up paddle boarding. Surfers can also be found on the right-hand reef break. Located at the southern end of Cliff Drive, Kiama Downs, or accessed by foot from North Bombo.
Kiama’s famous Blowhole is the largest in the world! A viewing platform with disabled access gives good views of Kiama blowhole. This landmark has attracted people to the region for over 100 years, was first sighted by George Bass when he anchored his whale boat in the sheltered bay, now known as Kiama harbour, in December 1797.

The Kiama Farmers’ Market is held every Wednesday at Surf Beach, located on Manning Street. You couldn’t wish for a more picturesque backdrop for your weekly shopping expedition! The market is started each week by the “ringing” of the bell and runs from 3pm to 6pm when Daylight Saving is in place and then reverts to 2pm to 5pm in the cooler months when Daylight Saving comes to an end. No market trading takes place until the bell has been rung.
Kiama Leisure Centre is an indoor multi-purpose fitness and sports facility, owned and operated by Kiama Council. Facilities include a 25 metre heated pool, a heated toddlers pool, spa, sauna, fitness gymnasium and an indoor sports hall. There is also a kiosk offering a range of confectionery, snacks and drinks.
